Engine 4- 1928 FWD

Not-so-old Engine 3- A refurbished Army 6x6
Comments:
-Taken out of service in 2004
-Carried 1100 gallons of water
-Wheelbase was shortened 24", a Detroit 6V-91 replaced the original multi-fuel engine.

Water Tower 1

A Jeep District Car
Comments:
- Note the Opticon traffic control strobe- For back when traffic in Lexington was bad!
-This was unit 102...the 2nd district Major's car out of Station 5
-This pic was taken during or around 1983
-The LFD stopped using the Jeeps around 1986
-Notoriously high maintenance
-Opticon system was stopped due to problems with sensors being easily blocked, lightning interference and modern computerized traffic systems.

Comments:
-Continental Inn fire on 3rd platoon in late summer 1977

542 and 546 North Broadway- March 22, 1989

1624 Jennifer Road- December 29, 1993

Old Engine 16- A 1979 American LaFrance
Comments:
-This is the same body and chassis that we now know as #32 at training
-In 1990 the truck was sent to Pierce Mfg and an Arrow Cab replaced the LaFrance cab
-The truck was originally housed at Station 8 with Engine 8
-When Station 16 opened this truck with the new cab became Engine 8

Old Engine 7- A 1977 Mack- This was the truck Brenda Cowan was riding on in the training video shown on the news after her untimely death

Old Engine 1- A 1974 American LaFrance

Old Aerial 1- A 1966 Pirsch Tiller

Old Engine 2- A 1953 Seagrave

Hook and Ladder #2
-This was a rebuild of old Ladder 3 that was seriously damaged in a wreck with Engine 5
-This truck as shown was placed into service in late 1976
